“Sunday morning at the centre of the world”. Earlsfield: once home to novelist Louis de Berniere, where he was inspired by the rhythm of life and plethora of voices of modern Britain. Our new bakery takes its lead from this spirit and provides a new “stage” for the stories of everyday life to be portrayed.
A warm material palette, modern details and a seating arrangement configured around an open kitchen creates impromptu spaces for gathering. The space is filled with the sense and aroma of baking, providing a platform for “Sunday mornings” every day of the week.
The curved display counter features poured concrete panels, layered in a spectrum of soft pink, whilst, in contrast, raw concrete tables provide communal seating designed to accommodate young families. The space is punctuated with bespoke lighting, designed and custom made for this project.
