A mosaic floor welcomes customers to Gail’s Bakery on a prominent corner of the high street in the historic market town of St Albans – a subtle recognition of the town’s Roman heritage.
Bespoke clay lighting fixtures, handmade by Polysmiths, are suspended over a microtop floor. A marble worksurface sits atop a shaker style counter finished in teal, a counterpoint to the soft pink walls and profiled timber wall panelling.
A theatre kitchen is raised up behind the display to provide customers with glimpses of the baking process in action.
