Holland Harvey was founded on the belief that architecture should make a positive social and environmental impact.

The studio designs spaces that celebrate the everyday, with an ethical approach that ensures each project tells a story. Based in east London, the studio operates globally to deliver brand-led residential and hospitality projects for aspirational clients worldwide.

Often working in heritage settings, the practice enjoys the challenges and opportunities presented through the conservation, retrofit and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.

The studio’s commitment to people and the planet has been galvanised through its status as a Certified B Corporation™.

We donate 1% of our time annually to help third-sector clients.

Since 2018 this has manifested in our ongoing partnership with homelessness charity Shelter from the Storm, for whom we designed their shelter in north London.

Following a process of reflection, measurement and reform, we joined a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.

The Impact Assessment considered five key areas:

1. How does our company care for our workers, improving their lives and well-being?
2. How does our company prioritise and take care of our planet?
3. How do we make sure our company’s governance considers all stakeholders?
4. How does our company make a positive impact on our clients’ lives?
5. How does our company give back and contribute positively to the community?

This is just the beginning. B Corp is about creating a framework for continuous improvement, and we invite others to join us on this transformative journey.
