EL&N Soho

Inspired by the bright dazzling lights and atmosphere of a gaming arcade, mixed with vintage 80s glamour, Holland Harvey has delivered a playful pink interior for EL&N’s Soho cafe.

Originally an old printworks studio, much of the industrial features were retained and new services were installed and tied into the scheme’s core colour scheme with a generous powder coating of the brand’s signature pink tone. The front features deep window recesses, enticing passes through an abundant display of the cafe’s cakes and pastries. The walls have been clad in pale pink gloss tiles creating a light and welcoming feeling.

The main display is clad in perforated metal panels powder coated in pink which echoes a curved coffee counter clad in expanded mesh with a series of pink led lights set behind creating a focal point in the entrance – designed to draw attention to the baristas at work. A series of bespoke pendants in mirror stainless steel with suspended led strip lights contrast with the bulky ceiling form.

The two distinct seating areas are separated by a metal mesh and neon archway, holding vintage game machines and a vibrant neon jukebox. This leads to the back room which is clad in a dazzling grid of mirrors. Bespoke neon signs punctuate the walls which are then reflected in a polished stainless steel ceiling that distorts the coloured lights around this immersive space.
