B Corp & the Built Environment

Thank you to everyone that attended our London Festival of Architecture panel discussion on ‘B Corp and the Built Environment’, with a special thank you to our esteemed panelists and chair for their participation and valuable insights into their B Corp journeys so far.

Ben Cross, Development Director – General Projects Holly Lewis, Co-founding Partner – We Made That Kieron Taylor, Technical Director – AKT II Richard Holland, Director – Holland Harvey Sandy Rompotiyoke, Social Advocacy Lead – Periscope

Chaired by Thomas Aquilina, Co-director of New Architecture Writers and co-founder of the publishing collective Afterparti.

It was an enlightening session that delved into the transformative power of B Corp UK and how each panellist has used it as a toolkit to further drive improvements in the five impact areas of Governance, Workers, Environment, Community, and Customers. By critically reviewing the B Corp process and ethos, and comparing it with other industry standards, we were able to enhance our understanding of impact measurement and its place within the built environment.
